Google Ads cost per click in Saudi Arabia (2026): 50 keywords by sector

Google's own estimates for 50 keywords people type in Saudi Arabia, grouped by sector, plus the sum that tells you whether a click is cheap for your business, not just in the table.

The short answer

In the Keyword Planner export I pulled on 7 November 2026 (Saudi Arabia, Arabic), Google puts the top-of-page bid for store keywords at roughly SAR 0.3–2 at the low end and SAR 2–8 at the high end. Services cost most: furniture movers up to SAR 32.69, pest control 27.71, lawyers 22.99, e-marketing 22.72, home cleaning 21.99. These are bid estimates, not actual cost per click.

The bottom line

  • Keyword Planner shows an estimate of the top-of-page bid; what you actually pay shows up in your account after launch, not before.
  • Your break-even cost per click is your delivered-order margin times your conversion rate, and that number, not the table, tells you whether a keyword is cheap.
  • Cheap broad keywords with huge volume, such as «مطعم» (restaurant) and «عبايات» (abayas), can spend a month's budget without an order; start with narrower buying queries.
  • "High" competition in Keyword Planner doesn't mean an expensive click; read the price from the bid column alone.
  • Judge a keyword after two to four weeks on cost per delivered order against your break-even, not on cost per click.

Ask a WhatsApp group of Saudi store owners how much a Google ad costs and you'll always get the same answer: "It depends." True, but it leaves the budget line blank. So on 7 November 2026 I pulled Google's own estimates for 50 keywords people in Saudi Arabia type, from «عطور» (perfume) to «شركة نقل عفش» (furniture movers), and put them in the tables below.

The question that decides your profit comes after: how many clicks buy one order, and how much of it do you keep? The second half of this page answers it.

A warning first: the tables don't show the actual Google Ads cost per click in Saudi Arabia. They show Google's estimate of the "top of page bid" as a low and a high figure: by Google's definition, roughly the 20th and 80th percentiles of what advertisers have historically bid to appear at the top of the page. What you pay depends on your ad quality, rival bidders, match type, landing page and the hour of the search. All amounts are in Saudi riyals.

What does a Google Ads click cost in Saudi Arabia, by sector?

In this export, store keywords start below SAR 1 a click at the low end, while home-service and legal keywords pass SAR 20 at the high end.

Monthly searches are ranges, not exact counts (settings in the method section below). Keywords appear as Saudi searchers type them, often without the hamza. Bid on the Arabic, not the English gloss.

What does the table tell the person paying for the click?

Three things: the cheapest clicks sit on the broadest words, the most expensive on services that sell one large job, and "High" competition doesn't mean a high price.

Cheap clicks, enormous volume

«مطعم» (restaurant) alone gets between 1 million and 10 million searches a month, with a bid range of SAR 0.47 to 3.86. Sweets, abayas (the long outer robe most Saudi women wear), coffee shops and eyewear all sit between 100,000 and 1 million searches a month, and none tops SAR 3.95 at the high end.

My view: these are the most dangerous keywords in the table for a small store's budget. Someone typing "restaurant" usually wants one nearby, now. Someone typing "abayas" may want pictures, a local shop or Eid ideas. Such a broad word can spend a month's budget in days without an order. I use it to find narrower buying phrases, such as a city or a product type, not as the place for the budget.

Expensive clicks in services

Only ten keywords in the table pass SAR 10 at the high end, and every one is a service: movers 32.69, pest control 27.71, lawyer 22.99, e-marketing 22.72, home cleaning 21.99, then web design 17.46, legal advice 16.23, English course 15.15, contractor 14.94 and software company 13.25.

My reading: a full house move is worth many times more to a moving company than one perfume order is to a store. Each advertiser bids what one customer can carry, so the auction climbs where a customer is worth most. Some of these keywords are also thin: web design and English course get only 100 to 1,000 searches a month.

"High" competition doesn't mean an expensive click

Perfume, abayas, watches, jewelry and gifts are all rated "High" competition, with an index of 100 out of 100, yet their high-end bids sit between SAR 3.29 and 4.14. «شركة نقل عفش», the most expensive keyword in the table, is rated "Medium", with an index of 34.

Competition in Keyword Planner only tells you how many advertisers have shown on the word compared with other keywords, not how much they pay. What I think is happening: perfume draws many advertisers with small bids; moving draws fewer with large ones. For price, read the bid column.

Why isn't a cheap click a cheap order?

Because you can't sell or ship a click. What matters is the highest price per click you can pay before an order loses money, and that comes from your business, not from Google.

Break-even cost per click = order margin × conversion rate. Order margin is what's left of a delivered order before advertising: after VAT, cost of goods, shipping and payment or collection fees. Conversion rate is delivered orders divided by clicks. If you sell with cash on delivery, some customers refuse the parcel at the door, so count delivered orders, not placed ones.

A hypothetical example with round numbers: a perfume store keeps SAR 60 from each delivered order before advertising and gets two delivered orders per 100 clicks, a 2% conversion rate. Its break-even is 60 × 2% = SAR 1.20 per click. The table puts «عطور» at SAR 1.10 to 3.97. If every click cost the low figure, an order would cost SAR 55 in clicks and the store would keep SAR 5. At the high figure, it would cost SAR 198.50, a loss of SAR 138.50 on every sale.

The click that looked cheap loses this store money across most of its range. Services can run the other way.

Another hypothetical example: a moving company keeps SAR 500 from each job, and 4% of its clicks turn into booked, completed moves. Its break-even is 500 × 4% = SAR 20 per click. «شركة نقل عفش» runs from SAR 7.41 to 32.69, so the company profits in the lower half of the range and loses whenever the auction pushes the click above SAR 20.

Put the two examples side by side: an expensive click in services can earn more than a cheap click for a thin-margin store. That's why I read the sales sheet before the ad report: only the real margin and conversion rate give a cost per click meaning. A cost per click read alone is one of the clearest cases for «الرقم الكذّاب» ("the lying number"), my LinkedIn series on marketing figures that look good and mislead.

The campaign profit calculator works out your margin after doorstep refusals, VAT and shipping and gives a maximum cost per order; multiply it by your conversion rate for your break-even cost per click.

Break-even table: should you bid on this keyword?

Compare your break-even cost per click with the keyword's range above and take the matching row.

When your break-even CPC is… What it means What to do
Above the keyword's high end You can afford most top-of-page auctions (the high figure is about the 80th percentile of past bids) and still profit Go in on exact and phrase match, and watch cost per delivered order for two weeks before you widen anything
Between the low and high end You win some auctions and lose money on others Bid on buying queries only; if you bid manually, set your max CPC at your break-even, not above it
Below the low end About four in five top-of-page bids for this keyword were above your break-even, so the top of the page costs more than your margin almost every time Don't enter with this offer. Raise the margin with a bundle or a bigger basket, lift conversion with a clearer page and a visible price, or find a narrower phrase
You don't know your margin or conversion rate yet You have nothing to compare against Work out the margin in the calculator, assume a cautious conversion rate and write down that it's an assumption, then replace it with the real one after two weeks
Low volume (100–1,000) and expensive Every click is valuable and data builds slowly Give it longer before judging, and make the goal a call or a qualified inquiry, not just a form fill

What should you do before you set your first bid?

Five steps, in order. Don't skip one because the table looked comforting.

  1. Pull your own numbers. The tables cover Saudi Arabia as a whole. Open Keyword Planner and choose your city and real keywords; the range in Riyadh may differ from the national one. Google notes that estimates are less accurate for small locations.
  2. Start with exact and phrase match on buying queries. Broad match on a word like «عطور» lets in searches that never buy. The full sequence is in your store's first Google Ads campaign.
  3. Build negative keywords before launch. Words like «وظائف» (jobs), «مجاناً» (free) and «كيف أصنع» (how to make) eat the budget on broad keywords. Build the list with negative keywords for Arabic search.
  4. Set up tracking before you bid. If orders don't reach Google Ads, you won't know your conversion rate or your break-even. Start with setting up conversion tracking. Google Ads counts placed orders; for your break-even, take delivered orders from your store's order log.
  5. Judge after two to four weeks. Compare cost per delivered order with your margin, not your cost per click with the table. A keyword that costs SAR 3 a click and sells beats one that costs SAR 1 and doesn't.

How were these numbers collected, and when will they be updated?

I pulled them myself from Google Ads Keyword Planner on 7 November 2026: location Saudi Arabia, language Arabic, 1 October 2025 to 30 September 2026, currency SAR. I chose 50 broad keywords, one to six per sector.

Google says Keyword Planner's search volumes are rounded; in this export each average monthly searches figure stands for a bucket, so I show each bucket as its range, not a single number. I dropped the three-month and year-on-year change columns: bucketed volume can't measure a trend.

I'll refresh this page quarterly with a new export on the same settings, dated at the top.

Where do you start today?

Pick the two or three keywords closest to what you sell, work out your break-even in the calculator and place each keyword in its row of the break-even table. If they all land below the low end, the problem is your margin or your landing page, not Google.

If your account has run for months and you don't know which keywords cost more than their break-even, that's what I check in a Google Ads account audit. I trace the money from the click to what the account calls a conversion, then to what reached your order log, before touching the budget.

Questions

Are these the prices I'll actually pay per click?

No. They're Google's estimate of the top-of-page bid, given as a low and a high figure. What you pay is set by the auction on each search: the quality of your ad and landing page, how many advertisers bid against you at that hour, and your match type. The real figure appears after launch, in the Avg. CPC column of your account.

Why is the gap between low and high so wide for a keyword like «محامي» (lawyer)?

Because the low figure is roughly the 20th percentile of past top-of-page bids and the high figure roughly the 80th, so a wide gap means advertisers bid very different amounts for the same word. My reading: one case is worth a lot to some firms, so a few bid far above the rest. The lawyer range in the table runs from SAR 1.57 to SAR 22.99, so don't build a budget on the low end.

Should I bid on a broad keyword like «عطور» (perfume) or «مطعم» (restaurant)?

Not at first. Start with queries that show buying intent and place, and leave the broad word until your search terms report tells you which versions of it buy.

How much budget do I need to test one keyword?

Work out your break-even cost per click first, then ask how many clicks you need before you have enough orders to judge. In a hypothetical example with round numbers, a 2% conversion rate means about 50 clicks per order, so you need several hundred clicks before a pattern shows. Multiply that by your break-even to see what the test costs. If you can't carry it, pick a narrower keyword rather than cutting the budget. I explain how to set a first budget in the guide to your store's first campaign.
