Google Merchant Center and organic search at Argan Package

At Argan Package in Saudi Arabia, Mohammad Marwan Al-Qudah launched Google Merchant Center, which returned a 25% ROI within 3 months, and fixed Search Console and technical SEO issues, after which organic sales rose 15% within 4 months.

  • 25% ROI

Return from Google Merchant Center within 3 months of launching it.

  • +15%

Increase in organic sales within 4 months after fixing Search Console and technical SEO issues.

The situation

Argan Package is an online store in Saudi Arabia, where I worked as digital marketing manager and then consultant between April 2024 and December 2025.

The idea

A store that relies on paid advertising alone pays for every visit. Two channels ease that dependence: products appearing in Google's shopping results, and organic visits from search.

What I did

  • Google Merchant Center: launched the channel for the store.
  • Organic search: fixed the issues reported by Search Console and the store's technical SEO problems.

The result

Google Merchant Center returned a 25% ROI within 3 months of launch. Organic sales rose 15% within 4 months after the fixes.

The limits of this result

Organic sales are affected by season and by paid campaigns running in the same period, and I do not claim the technical fixes were the only cause. The figures are from my campaign records and CV and have not been audited by a third party.

What you can take for your own store

Open Search Console before any new campaign. Pages that are not indexed or errors in product data mean you are paying to advertise a store that search cannot fully see.
